Drink From Springs of Living Water

We in America are in a transitional period. The Lord has issued a clarion call for intercessors, preachers, teachers, believers in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to increase our time of praising, worshiping, singing and praying.

Following the election of President-Elect Barack Obama as President of the United States of America there have been large volumes of false prophetic words written and distributed, there have been numerous incidents of racial incidents reported across our nation and many others that are hidden and remain unreported in the print media and on the internet.

WE ARE IN A SEASON OF HEIGHTENED SPIRITUAL WARFARE

When I was in prayer seeking the Lord for His focus for the November 14, 2008 Line of Deborah Intercessory Prayer Line, I was drawn to scriptures in the Old and New Testament that refer to the Living Water. During this time, I was impressed with the message title: DRINK FROM SPRINGS OF LIVING WATER.

In order to be effective prayer warriors for the Lord during this season, we must Drink From Springs of Living Water!

John 7:37 – 38 “If anyone is thirsty let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture said, streams of living water will flow from within him.”

Just as Jesus referred to the “Scripture” because it was the very Word of His Father and therefore the supreme authority for his life and teaching, so are we.

When the gift of the Holy Spirit is given to believers, you will experience his overflowing life. When this happens, “living water” will flow out from you to others with the healing message of Jesus.

John 4: – 14 “Jesus answered ….but whoever drinks of the water that I give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

Drinking from the well of living water requires regular communion with the source of the living water, Jesus Christ himself.

How often do you commune with Jesus Christ each day? Are you answering God’s call to stand on a certain watch and pray?

Do Not Become Severed From The Source
Stay attached to the True Vine...Jesus! John 15: 5 – 8

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”

If you drink daily from the “Springs of Living Waters” you will be an effective fruit bearer for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Your Prayers will reach the very throne room of heaven and you will quickly see the outer manifestation of your prayers.

Psalm 1: 3 “He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.”

The outcome of those who faithfully seek God and his Word is life in the Spirit.

Psalm 46:4
“There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
The holy place where the Most High dwells,
God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day,
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
He lifts his voice, the earth melts.
The Lord almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Beware of False Teachers

Do Not Become Springs Without Water

“These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm.” 2 Peter2 :17

Pray for a heightened gift of discernment. There are postings on various internet sites and emails that are being sent out by those who exemplify the characteristics of what scripture describes as “False Teacher/False Prophets.”

“Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore, do not be partners with them. Ephesians 5:6

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. Ephesians 5:11

When you read or hear something that is contrary to the Truth of God, I urge you to go into prayer immediately. Rebuke the statement; cancel it at the root in the name of Jesus. Replace it with a scripture that says the truth about the situation.

Be on high alert and be ready to expose, rebuke and speak against wickedness in all forms. Refuse to accept everything you read or hear in the media without praying about it!!

“Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?” Psalm 94:16
